Haldwani and Bhimtal Tour

Hi guys…

Last weekend I visited to Haldwani where my cousin lives. I visited there on the occasion of his wedding. Haldwani is one of the biggest cities in the Uttarakhand and it is also known as gateway to Kumaon. Haldwani is very near to Nainital, one of the hottest tourist destinations in Uttarakhand, India.

My cousin home is located near the Kusumkhera, Haldwani. We reached there early in the morning around 6 AM. We get sweet welcome from the sky in the form of rain. After reaching home, we take our breakfast and then I moved to Bhimtal with my brother. Bhimtal is very near from my cousin home. You can reach Bhimtal from Haldwani via a bus, jeep or a private vehicle. The distance between Haldwani and Bhimtal is around 15 km.

Bhimtal (Bhimtal Lake) is one of the biggest lakes in the Uttarakhand. Bhimtal is very popular among tourist. Bhimtal Lake is one of the major tourist attractions. This lake is biggest if you compare with the famous Naini Lake that situated in the Nainital.

After reaching Bhimtal, we bought chips and cold drink and booked a boat. The fare is Rs210. We enjoyed boating. After 45 minutes, we finished our boating session. After that we enjoyed the lake ground. We played over the wet mud. It was incredible. We were also planning to visit to Nanital, but we had lack of time.

After that we moved to home.

At home, we took our lunch. At eve, we got ready for the barat. Dance, masti and fun are the common parts in weddings in Uttarakhand. The wedding party was superb and we enjoyed the party arrangement very much.

It was an amazing and memorable tour of Haldwani and Bhimtal.

My Haridwar Kumbh Mela Tour 2010

With my parentsKumbh Mela is one of the most important religious events in India. I also got a wonderful chance to join Kumbh Mela in this year. I visited here with my family and neighbors. It was an unforgettable tour. Haridwar is one of the holy cities in India. The main attraction of the city is holy dip in Ganga, regarded as the holy rivers in India.

The city is the home to numbers of important temples like Mansa Devi, Chandi Devi, Daksh temple and more. We planned to visit Mansa Devi using udan khatola but our bad luck came as the udan khatola was not available. We started our journey to Mansa Devi by walk. We reached there with the journey of half hours. There was huge crowd of devotees. After that we took lunch in a restaurant. The food was not good but we enjoyed. We did some shopping in the Haridwar market and bought some religious jewelries and Prasad. We came back Delhi around 11 PM. It was a good tour and I will remember it in my whole life.

Shopping in Gandhi Nagar Delhi

Hi friends…

I am sure with the name of Gandhi Nagar, you will learn about the capital city of Gujarat. But with this article I am writing on Gandhi Nagar of Delhi. Gandhi Nagar is situated near the Shastri Park. Well you are thinking that why I am talking about Gandhi Nagar. The reason is that I visited this place with my friend for the shopping purpose.

Gandhi Nagar is one of the leading wholesale cloth markets in Delhi. Gandhi Nagar is famous for all types of clothes including denim jeans, shirts, blazers, coat and pants. You can get varieties of clothes at cheap prices. If you compare the price with the market price, then you will see the huge difference. My friend bought 3 shirts and 3 pants. It was a nice shopping experience in this place.

After the shopping we moved to Vishal Mega Mart mall located near the Welcome metro station. We enjoyed here with the snacks and cold drinks.

So I enjoyed my Sunday with very pleasure.

Weekend in Kotdwar

Hi friends…

Once again I am here. In today’s entry I want to share my travel experience. Last week I dated in the Kotdwar with my business friends. Actually we visit there on the wedding occasion of one of our friends.

First of all I want to introduce you with Kotdwar. Kotdwar is a very nice place situated near the border of Uttar Pradesh. You can say Kotdwar as a gateway of Uttarakhand.

So we pack our bags and moved from Delhi around 11 PM on 12 January, 2010. I was traveling with my 4 friends who all are very co-operative, professional and frank. We reached Kotwar bus station around 4 AM.

Kotdwar is full with natural beauty. I am familiar with the “pahari area” as I am from Kumoun but I liked the beauty of Kotdwar very pleasant and calm. The bunglow of friend is situated in the heart of hilly areas and I congratulated my friend to have such type of home. Really it was very amazing. You can view on the picture.

We enjoyed our full day on 13 January. We booked Tata Indica for traveling and also we have 2 bikes and I enjoyed my first bike ride in the hilly area. My friend Jitender was in full mood of masti on bike and he was driving very rashly. We visited to one of the ancient temples of Kotdwar, Uttaranchal. Here we watched the natural river fall. Wow!!! What an amazing view of natural beauty. I can’t forget that moment. Some of our friends fallen down in the river. But they enjoyed the moment with very joy.

Then we moved Lansdone which is the official site of Garhwal Regiment. From the Lansdone, you can view the panoramic view of great Himalayas. We also visited to the museum of Garhwal regiment where we saw achieves of glorious moment achieved by Garhwal regiment. The jawans of Garhwal regiment were practicing the band march. In the eve, we moved to friend’s house where we enjoyed the party very much. The DJ was running the local Garhwali songs and we shared thumka on the DJ floor.

On the day of barat, we enjoyed our way to Roorkee very much. In the running Jeep we enjoyed Vodka. We reached Roorkee around 7PM. We enjoyed the party very much. I will share the photograph of wedding ceremony if my friend permits me to post on this blog. On 15 we returned back from Roorkee to friend’s house. Well I forget to mention that in the middle we also enjoyed the Ganga ghat. In the early morning of 16 January, we returned back to Delhi.

In Kotdwar I got numbers of good friends. I can’t forget Ritesh (Mangli) who was very caring and always ready to serve us. It was one of the best journeys of my life and at last not least I want to share best wishes to my friend Brijesh and Jyoti for happy married life.
